Activity: Watch the Olympic semifinal women's soccer game or men's water polo

Due Thursday: Chapter 1, "Practicing the Skill" sets on page 9 (all), page 11 (#4), page 12 (#2), page 13 (#2), and page 15 (#1-4)

Activity: Begin playing "Survivor"

 

WEDNESDAY

Objectives: Students will become familiar with the LMS Canvas and Google drive. Students will establish accounts, navigate class Canvas pages, and begin a Canvas assignment. Students will reflect on the most significant historic events of their lifetime.

Canvas Assignment: 10 most significant historic events in the last 2 decades. Due Thursday

Objectives: Students will become familiar with the LMS Canvas, Google Drive, and Google Earth. Students will establish accounts, navigate class Canvas pages, and begin a Canvas assignment. 

 

Due Friday: Chapter 1, Section 2 "Review," (#1, 5, 6, & 9)

Objectives: Students will understand the objectives for "Unit 1 Project." Students will refresh their knowledge of the Canvas LMS. Students will be introduced to the foundations of political philosophy. Students will begin analyzing the laws and rights of the "State of Nature." 

Activity: Continue playing "Survivor"

THURSDAY

10 most significant historic events in the last 2 decades. Due

Objectives: Students will analyze the significance of the current election in American history.

Watch: Trump RNC speech and/or Obama DNC speech

Video Reflection: Due Monday

Chapter 1, Section 1, "Practicing the Skill" sets Due

Objectives: Students will understand the basic tools geographers use and the skills geography provides. 

Objectives: Students will analyze the values and principles on which our government is founded.

Watch: Trump RNC Speech and/or Clinton DNC Speech

Video Reflection: Due Monday

Objectives: Students will analyze the significance of the current election in American history.
