Objective: Students will gather evidence pertaining to the use of water-boarding and torture.

Objective: Students will understand the course of events taking place on 9/11/01

Watch: United 93

Objective: Students will continue applying their understanding of the scientific process to a psychology 'science fair' project. Students will also learn how to read an academic journal article.

Read: "Age Related Changes in Detecting Happiness"

Project Objectives: Finish collecting supportive material for research. Begin editing research essay, summary, and design as well as collecting materials to conduct study.

Research Essay and Design, Due Wednesday

TUESDAY

Objective: Students will write a position paper on the topic of water-boarding and torture. Students will be introduced to the rules of policy debate.

Due Wednesday

Objective: Students will understand the course of events taking place on 9/11/01

Watch: United 93

Objectives: Students will analyze the value of their research question, previous studies conducted on the same topic, and designing a correlational research study.

WEDNESDAY

Objective: students will finish writing a position paper on water boarding. They will continue to learn about the rules and procedures of policy debate.

Position Paper, Due

Objective: Students will analyze the consequences of 9/11 and whether the war in Iraq was justified.

Read: Bush, Bilx, and Villipin Primary Sources

Objectives: Students will analyze the value of their research question, previous studies conducted on the same topic, and designing a correlational research study.

Project Objectives: Research materials finalized by Thursday; study begins Friday.

THURSDAY

Objective: Students will observe a public policy debate and finish learning the rules and procedures to policy debate.

Objective: Students will analyze the consequences of 9/11 and whether the war in Iraq was justified.

Objectives: Students will begin applying their understanding of the scientific process and correlational research design to a study on "identifying deception."
