MONDAY

Objective: Students will debate whether the abuse of illegal drugs ought to be treated as a matter of public health rather than criminal justice.

 

Objective: students will analyze the ethical controversies of the Vietnam War and understand why public objection to Vietnam grew throughout the 1960s and 70s.

Mai Lai Massacre Mock-Trial: Day 1

 

Objectives: Students will identify physical and psychological consequences of stress. Students will understand different approaches to stress reduction. Students will understand the definitions of "cognitive" and "behavioral" therapy.

Objectives: Students will continue to analyze the cause(s) of the United States' gun violence problem.

Objectives: Students will understand the classification and array of anxiety disorders.

Objective: students will research their 3rd LD debate. 

Objective: students will demonstrate their mastery of the Vietnam Era unit concepts, objectives, and vocab.

Unit Test

Objectives: Students will understand the diagnostic criteria of major anxiety disorders including OCD, PTSD, and phobias

FRIDAY

Objective: Students will research their 3rd LD debate. Students will organize their research

Objectives: Students will be introduced to the outcomes of WWII with the dropping of the atomic bombs.

Watch: Hiroshima: BBC History of WWII

Objectives: Students will demonstrate their comprehension of weekly concepts and vocab. Students will apply their knowledge of cognitive-behavioral therapy for stress relief by participating in a relaxation yoga lesson.
