MONDAY

Objective: Students will understand what factors influence population growth in a given area or region. Students will analyze these particular factors for North America.

Objective: Students will identify a few of the most contentious issues of the 21st Century. Students will analyze the contentiousness of the health care debate in the United States.

TUESDAY

Objectives: Students will understand what urbanization is, analyze the problems and benefits of urbanization, and begin learning about the urbanization of the United States. Students will begin to understand the backbone of the American economy and how it has changed throughout history.

Objectives: Students will be able to identify the type of economies practiced in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Students will begin analyzing how trade has effected the economies of North America.

Objectives: Obama and foreign policy. Ending the war in Iraq and and the continuation of the "War on Terror." Students will analyze the causes of ISIS. Students will understand the general position the Obama administration took on foreign policy in the Middle East.

Objective: Enduring the "Great Recession" of 2008-09, and economic policy moving forward to Trump. Students will identify cause and effect.

Objective: Students will understand how citizens can protect themselves from bad government. Students will understand the concept of "rebellion" according to Locke. Students will analyze the right to rebel and limited government in context to current events.

Class discussion: Is political violence in the United States justified?
