Crofton High School Students To Attend National FFA Convention
Seven Crofton High School students will be attending the National FFA Convention and Expo on the week of October 25th- 28th in Indianapolis, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky along with 60,000 other FFA members. This will be the 90th celebration of the convention. In past year members have gone to either Louisville or Indianapolis. This year they will be going on educational tours in both cities. “Members get to meet and network with members across the nation” said Crofton FFA advisor, Stephanie Mann. “It’s fun to see commonalities of the 60,000 other members in attendance.” Some of the activities members will be participating in are the business sessions, the largest ag career fair, leadership workshops, ag expo, and several educational tours.
The National Convention is not only for FFA members, but also for agriculture educators as well. “They are facilitated by other ag teachers across the nation and I’m always looking for new ideas to share in my classroom” said Mann. This will be Mann’s 19th year of taking students to the national convention.
