FCCLA District Star Competition
On Feb. 3 Crofton High School students Kelsey Schieffer, Brittany Tramp, Rachel Rath, Piper Dather and Rori Schmidt competed in the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) District STAR competition. All Crofton High School FCCLA members that competed qualified for FCCLA State Leadership, which will take place in Lincoln, April 5-7.
Schieffer qualified for state in Professional Presentation with a presentation over child development with technology. Rath and Tramp qualified for state in Focus on Children with a busy board which will be used in the Crofton High School resource room. Piper Dather qualified in Fashion Construction; she constructed clothing and then presented the process and costs of making it. Dather also worked with Schmidt in Recycle and Design making a mirror/coat rack out of recycled materials.
The students are eagerly waiting for the state competition. “I’m nervous but confident that I will do my best.” FCCLA President Rachel Rath commented.
