Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate romantic love, friendship and admiration. Every year on Feb. 14 people celebrate this day by sending messages of love and affection to partners, family and friends.

A Valentine’s Day survey was sent out to the students of Crofton High School to see their thoughts on the day.

Just over half of the kids said they enjoyed Valentine’s Day, however, 70% of them claimed to not have a valentine this year.

Forty-two percent of the students said assorted chocolates were their favorite Valentine’s Day candy, while 30% selected Hershey’s kisses and 10% chose Conversation Hearts.

The majority of students (55%) think food is the ideal Valentine’s Day gift and flowers followed with 33%.
