Ashley M. Leader instructs instrumental music in Crofton, Nebraska, and completed her Masters of Education through the University of South Dakota. Currently, Leader has completed her tenth year of teaching in the Crofton Community Schools, where she instructs grades 5-12 Band, Marching Band, Music Appreciation, and Junior High Music Exploratory. While at Crofton, Leader has written marching band drill, served as the President of the Crofton Education Association, sponsored the elementary student council and cheerleaders, as well as started the ensemble, Recycled Percussion. Prior to moving to Crofton Leader received her Bachelors of Music Education degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in December of 2009.
Leader is actively involved in the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association, Nebraska Music Educators Association, and the Nebraska Masonic All Star Marching Band. In 2011, Andrews served as a presenter for the Nebraska Music Educators Association Conference, where she team presented “Need to Know for Your First Year.” Leader was also selected for the 2012 Nebraska Music Educators Young Leaders Symposium. In 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Leader served as the Drum Major for the Nebraska Masonic All Star Marching Band. Leader is also the recipient of the 2015 Jack R. Snider Young Band Director Award and the 2017 Midstates Conference Outstanding Band Director.
