    Applicant must be accepted for admission at a state or private college or two-year trade or technical school of their choice.

    Applicant must have a strong desire to return to their hometown (or other Great Plains Communications community) to pursue their career.

  • NWAGA will distribute $2,000 scholarships to female Nebraska High School Seniors who have played high school golf and are furthering their education at a 2-year, 4-year, or a technical school in Nebraska. One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant in each NWAGA region (Eastern Nebraska, Central Nebraska and Western Nebraska) with the remaining scholarships awarded regardless of region. Those eligible are Female Nebraska High School Seniors who have played high school golf and are furthering their education at a 2-year, 4-year, or technical school in
    Nebraska. Deadline for application is Monday March 4, 2024 at 5 p.m. CST.

  • The Cedar Knox Rural Water Project (CKRWP) Advisory Committee provides a $500 scholarship to a high school senior in memoriam of Galen Jueden. Galen was a dedicated employee who was fully committed to the customers and staff of the CKRWP. He was an invaluable asset to the CKRWP and his dedication is recognized by providing a scholarship to a worthy student looking to achieve a degree in higher education.

  • Preference will be given to applicants attending HVAC, or plumbing/trade school. 

  • $1000.00 will be awarded to the selected student based on a personal statement of the student's choosing that has been submitted and two letters of recommendations from their school counselor(s) and/or other persons whom influenced their decision to go into their selected field. The personal statement should also include name, address, birth date, and contact number. Additionally, students must provide verification to the selection committee that they have been accepted into a program. Award will be made payable to the recipient after the completion of their 1st semester of college.

  • The Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District provides 2 - $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who reside within the LCNRD boundary. The Patefield – Green Scholarship is available to students who intend to pursue an agricultural related career and plan to return to the area and help local communities to conserve and protect our natural resources. The scholarship must go towards at least one year of study in an agriculture related field at a trade school, college, or university.

  • Sydney Loofe was raised in Neligh, Nebraska. She moved to Lincoln, Nebraska after high school. When she didn’t show up to work one day, her co-workers became worried and reported her absence. This was the day after she went on a date from Tinder. Her body was found in a rural area in Clay County 19 days after she was reported missing. Sydney, the crystal-blue eyed girl with the soft heart, who was just 24 years old, was taken from this earth on November 16, 2017. George & Susie Loofe, Parents of Sydney, decided to partner with us and advocate for the cause to prevent situations like this from happening. Our goal is to teach the community how to recognize when there could be malicious intent involved when communicating with others. This scholarship is presented by The Set Me Free Project in honor of Sydney Loofe and her family.

  • A maximum of two (2) $200 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors of the Crofton

    FCCLA chapter, who meet the following guidelines and submit their application. The first

    scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in a Family and Consumer Sciences

    related occupation, and the second to a student with outstanding leadership abilities.The

    scholarship is payable the second semester of the freshman year of college, and must be

    requested by the student at that time. A member committee along with the chapter adviser, will

    choose the recipients.
