Art students made a trip to Kearney to the Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) to see the Nebraska map with artwork of Knox County by Katie, Ellie, and Leila! We got a full tour then went to Harmon Park to create plein air paintings. #WarriorWay

Our elementary students wrapped up the school year with their traditional activity day and school picnic. While the rainy weather no forced a change of plans, it certainly didn’t dampen the fun! A huge thank you to Mrs. Kleinschmit, Mrs. Leader, the Crofton High School Band students, and the Elementary Student Council for stepping in and helping to make the day a success indoors. Thanks to their creativity and flexibility, students still enjoyed a full day of games, a picnic lunch (inside!), a movie, and—although the teachers might prefer to forget it—a spirited game of dodgeball: teachers vs. 6th graders. Let’s just say we’re not bragging about the outcome… so you can probably guess who won! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year—rain or shine!#WarriorWay
Congratulations to these three student-athletes for qualifying for the All-Class Jr. High State Track Meet held in Gothenburg on May 17th. Avery Arens (800 M Dash & 1600 M Run), Grace Morrison (Discus), and Gavin DeShazer (Triple Jump). All three now own the Crofton Jr. High records in their respective events. What an honor and accomplishment, we are proud of you! (Unfortunately Gavin DeShazer was unable to attend, but his qualifying mark of 38-6.5 would put him at 3rd in the state) #WarriorWay
Avery Arens entered the All-Class State Jr. High Track Meet as the top seed in the 1600 M Run and 800 M Dash. She finished her Jr. High career as State Runner Up in both events and the current record holder for the 1600 M Run (5:04.18) and 800 M Dash (2.18.01). Great job Avery! #WarriorWay
