A HUGE thank-you to our amazing Crofton Volunteer Fire Department and EMS for taking time out of their day to spend the morning with our students! They kicked off our day with High Five Friday, helped us practice our fire drill, and then gave our students an up-close look at their fire and rescue equipment. They explained how the equipment is used and shared important fire safety tips that every child should know. Our students loved seeing the equipment, asking questions, and learning from these local heroes! We are so grateful for the time, dedication, and service they give to our community — all as volunteers. Thank you for not only helping keep our community safe, but for taking the time to teach and inspire our students!
GOOD LUCK, LADY WARRIORS! The Crofton Volleyball team will face Plainview at home on Monday, Oct. 5 with JV at 5 p.m. and Varsity to follow. The seniors will also be recognized before the varsity game.

Today we want to give a HUGE shout-out to our three amazing custodians, Tom Mueller, Jeff Burbach, and Roger Yates! They are the ones who are up early, stay late, and do so much behind the scenes to make our school a great place for students and staff. This past school year has brought more than its share of moving, rearranging, lifting, hauling, and changing things around, and they have tackled every challenge with a smile, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help. We appreciate the countless things they do each day, both the things we see and the MANY things we don’t. Thank you for taking such great care of our school, our students, and our staff. We are so lucky to have YOU!
The Kindergarten classes had a very special visitor. Emmy’s grandpa, Knox County Deputy Sheriff Mark Krepel, stopped by for part of their community helper unit. He told them all about his job, his special uniform, and how police officers help our community. They even got to talk to the dispatcher on his radio and check out the lights and sirens on his truck! So many questions, so much excitement, and so much learning! Thank you, Deputy Krepel, for being so patient with our little learners and making their day extra special! #WarriorWay
